What a Ride!

Wow!  Great ride tonight.  2 hours of riding covering over 30 km.  Riding Morton backwards in the dark was like riding a completely new trail.  Although our numbers were somewhat small and diminished as the ride went on, those that came out enjoyed a great ride almost completely in the dark.  Thanks goes out to Liam for that "nail in the tire" trick to get us a rest at Malden.  Thanks Liam, I needed it.
A couple of notes, Rob finally brought the beer.  He claims he has no recollection of anyone telling him it was his turn.  Read between the lines.... he doesn't read his email.  I don't know if Upper Canada Lager was an attempt to buy us off but as per Article 6.4 of the constitution if a rider "forgets" he is required to bring 2 weeks in a row.  More on this to follow.
It was also nice of Ali to show up.... oh wait, who was that in the middle of Morton all by himself?????  Ali.  Apparently Ali doesn't understand that 6:30 is 6:30.  Nor does he listen to our plans for the ride.  There was some debate about his point but in the end we gave it to him.
Another week with big shakeups in attendance.  Matt has really dropped and it doesn't look good for his overall attendance.  Jay, with another weak excuse, is going down the standings faster than a bum after a ham sandwich.  The top three look untouchable but after that it is a free for all.
It was nice to see a new face out riding with us, Jason.  Hopefully, all the farting and disgusting talk will not scare him off.
As for the beer order, it looks like we will get through a complete three times for everyone.  No beer is needed for next week.

  1. That was a great ride - the longest of the year, I believe - & a beautiful evening.- however, most of the pansy riders were over dressed!

Ok, i was a wee bit late - about 3 minutes!! -well, it took me a little longer to iron my tight biking shorts & getting the patio ready for the beer binge party - where were u, jay?, - & yes, putting air in my tires of the "other" bike. So what is the BFD -big freaking deal? Excuse me, I do not finish work at 3.30pm! But wait, that was NOT The reason i was a little behind the group!

As we r leaving- all together - i see that the gate to the patio - the venue for regular beer binge party - was left open & a 12 pack case was sitting on the patio. So to avoid a potential theft of the precious commodity, i took it for the boys & dismounted off my bike, with the now well inflated tires, to close the gate! - & guess who left the gate open? - well no names, but he was talking the most on the trail & also admitted not being able to see/stay on the trial - which was brightly lit by all the zooming powerful head lights!

Whatever happened to the "Team Spirit" & "No Rider Left" behind slogans?" I see the constitution is constantly & consistently violated!! So Much BS!!! - & not a single rider waited & even worse, acknowledged the poor, poor etiquette! -& of course none felt a tinge of guilt!
It is a good thing i am used to the carefree & careless & self serving ways of the group & know better than expect a Team Spirit attitude! All duly noted!

-& I will iron my bike shorts the night before & make sure i am not late for the ride- if i ever ride again with a bunch of turds!!!!

Oh yes, Welcome to Jason to the CRC! Let us be nice to him - at least for the first few weeks!! Now, here is a classy rider!!!

    Cheers!

  2. well, Ali thanks for being concerned about our beer. As for the rider you don't mention (Rob), truly inconsiderate. Especially since he didn't even tell us you weren't with us until Malden.
