Tour deCure Century Ride

 tour logo medium

It is about that time of year that we should be thinking about getting into some kind of shape.  Some may have been doing that quietly in their basement while others may have been spinning with Jacques.  Regardless, I am proposing a goal to focus your early season preparation.  A century.  Not a metric century but a true century of 162 kms.  Ali and I have been doing the Tour deCure diabetes charity ride for a few years now and both of us have found it to be a quite enjoyable and challenging ride.  Last year was the best course yet.
Ali and I have registered and are looking for some others to help break the wind.  The only catch is that it is a charity ride and yes, it is an American charity (so no tax receipts) and there is a minimum amount you have to fundraise to participate ($200/person).  However, we can register as a team and all our resources can be pooled so if someone doesn't meet the dollar goal, hopefully as a team we will be covered.
As you know this is a cause that affects me personally so if you don't want to do the ride, I ask that you consider sponsoring us.  You can donate at this link.

Orlando Ride

I have posted a new ride in the Orlando/Kissimmee area.  I know many of us come here for vacation and if you have been here you know that good rides are hard to find.  This ride starts out a little busy but quickly turns into a nice quiet ride, complete with a bike lane.  The most surprising part of the ride was the hills.  I would equate it with Pinckney area hills.  After doing the ride I realized I had other options but this is a start.  I have posted this ride in our ride section.
